Aggie Chicken Casserole
Ingredients & Instructions for Aggie Chicken Casserole 4 chicken breasts, cooked and cut into bite-size pieces. Reserve 2 cups broth. Layer chicken over bottom of buttered casserole dish. Then layer over chicken: - 2 stalks chopped celery
- 1 medium chopped onion
- 1 can sliced water chestnuts
Mix and heat: - 1 can cream of celery soup
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
Pour heated mixture over chicken sprinkle 1 package Pepperidge Farm cornbread dressing over top. (Can use crumbled cornbread in place of the package of cornbread dressing mix.) Melt: 1 stick butter or margarine in 2 cups chicken broth Pour over the top of mixture in casserole dish. DO NOT STIR. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake casserole for 30-40 minutes.
