Beef Stroganoff Casserole

Ingredients for Beef Stroganoff Casserole

  • 1 ½ lb. ground beef
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp. minced green pepper
  • 2 (8 oz) cans tomato sauce
  • ½ lb. egg noodles
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 ½ lb. cottage cheese
  • 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup sour cream

Directions:

Cook noodles in boiling water until tender; drain and toss with butter.

Brown beef, onion and green peppers, drain excess grease. Add tomato sauce.

Mix cream cheese, cottage cheese and sour cream together.

Arrange layer of noodles in buttered baking dish. Add layer of cheese mixture. Cover with layer of beef mixture. Repeat layers if using a deep dish.

Bake at 375 for 45 minutes or until bubbly.
